Koala by Christine Davis
ARTIST NOTES: Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
I came across this koala when going for a walk in a National Park. He looked as if he was smiling at me. As I painted this Australian marsupial, I realized how amazingly beautiful this animal is and how we need to protect them from many dangers that they face today. This koala painting was a finalist in the Watershed Art Prize, Salisbury, Adelaide on the theme of Sustainability.
